Materials needed to cut glass bottles:
1* Glass Bottle Cutter
1* Sandpaper
Boiled Water&Cold Watter
A good glass cutting tool is very affordable and if you buy one with a tungsten carbide wheel such as the aopow's glass bottle it will last you for years and ensure a clean score line each time.
Buy the aopow glass bottle cutter
Step 1: Places the glass bottle close to the L shape baffle,
then alternate hands and showly rotate the glass bottle. You will hear the cracking sounds if you cut it successfully.
Step 2: Then put the two fixed rings on both sides of the cutting line, It is 1 centermeter distance between the two fixed rings
Step 3: According to the principle of thermal expansion and contraction, pour a small trickle of boiling water over the score line, rotating the bottle around as you do so.
Next, run the bottle under the cold tap whilst rotating the bottle.
Repeat this process, pouring boiling and cold water back and forth over the bottle. When you start to hear the bottle making popping or cracking sounds it's about ready snaps.
Stpe 4: Use a rough grit of sandpaper to sand the edges of the glass down. When they are no longer jagged at all, you can use a fine grit sandpaper to smooth the edges to a soft finish.
Warming Tips
1.Make sure that both hands rotate the bottle at the same time to get a flat line while cutting and not letting the boiling water overflow between the two rubbers ring while pouring ( The optimal distance between the two rubber rings is less than 1cm)
2.Heat the line that you made with the glass cutter. You can not only use hot water, but also can use a candle or butane torch.
3.Please clean up the residual label before cutting the bottle( the glue on the label will shorten the life of the cutter head)
